Double Edge Lettering Dollars
Double Edge Lettering Dollars are error coins from the Presidential Dollar series. These are also referred to as Overlapped or Overlapping Lettering. The double lettering can sometime be right side up or inverse.
Presidential Dollars are supposed to have the mottos "In God We Trust" and "E Pluribus Unum" and the date and mint mark inscribed on the edges of the coins. A small number of coins were released by the US Mint without the double edge lettering.
